These are the values that all began in an unusually small student flat in Te Aro

…when a Film major (Oliver) and a Law student (John) determined that there had to be a fresher, edgier, and more compelling way to tell stories digitally.

We cut our teeth by doing occasional projects for mates and local organizations. Along the way our work got noticed for its boldness, its shameless creative ambition and effectiveness at connecting with audiences. We took baby steps for several years while studying, interning, and learning - but we always came back to working together.

Eventually our next step meant formalizing our buisiness and taking a leap of faith. A statistician and crisis manager (G) introduced himself at just the right time. With organisation, streamlined process, and a plan, we’re excited to pull the power of human stories to the surface of branding impressions.

OLIVER - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Oliver is most comfortable when working on the bleeding edge, pushing things a little further than what would have previously been thought reasonable. In his case, it all started from an early age. Oliver shot award-winning films with his primary school classmates a few years earlier than would have been reasonable, before establishing a content creator role in his high school, then moving to Te Herenga Waka in 2019 to study the medium.

In that year, Oliver directed two award-winning short films, one of which featured in the 48Hours Grand Finals. This was the same year he met John, whom he would work with to create the first of many winning election campaigns, and the collaboration would grow to be a little bigger than had previously been thought reasonable.

For better or worse, Oliver will probably always live his work, put every once of soul behind whatever he can, and chase the small glimpses of the sublime and everyday beauty that we once thought elusive.
